When I am not at an herb or plant show or giving a program somewhere, I am at the Farmers' Market at La Centerra in Katy, TX from 8 a.m until noon. This is a very lively and fun market with lots of great vendors. You'll find produce, baked goods, eggs, meat, honey, worm castings, pecan preserves and, of course, fabulous plants from The Herb Cottage. Come join the fun.

VETIVER GRASS
a member of the same part of the grass family as maize, sorghum, sugar cane and lemongrass, is an ancient plant that has grown around the world to great benefit for centuries. Like many plants, however, vetiver has fallen out of fashion and become forgotten or unknown by many people.
